VEG BYTZ KOFTA

Ingredients

  • Onion – 2 medium
  • Green chili – 4 medium
  • Coriander leaves – 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic – 2 tablespoon
  • Ginger – 1-inch piece
  • Veg Bytz (chopped) – Half packet
  • Oil – 500 g
  • Salt – As per taste
  • Coriander powder – 2 tablespoon
  • red chili powder – 2 tablespoon
  • Garam masala powder – 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder – Half teaspoon
  • Refined wheat flour – 3 tablespoon
  • GoodDot curry paste – 1 packet
  • Bay leaves – 3 to 4
  • Black pepper – 1 teaspoon
  • Cinnamon – 1 to 2 pieces
  • Curd (vegan) – 250 g

Method

  • Coarsely grind the Veg Bytz and transfer it onto a plate.
  • Add chopped onion, ginger, garlic, green chilli and mix them well.
  • Now add salt as per taste, red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder and garam masala. Mix all these ingredients well.
  • Add refined flour and a small amount of water in the above prepared mixture and make small kofta balls from it.
  • Now put oil in a deep pan and let it heat.
  • Deep fry the kofta balls in hot oil and transfer them to a plate.
  • Put 2 to 3 tablespoon oil in a pan let it heat.
  • Now add bay leaves, black pepper and cinnamon to it.
  • Add curry paste and a little water to the same pan. Mix it well and cook on high flame for 5 minutes.
  • Add 150 ml water to the pan when oil separates from curry paste and put kofta balls. Let it cook on high flame for 5 minutes until the water dries. Stir in between to avoid it from sticking on bottom.
  • When water starts drying add curd (vegan) and cover it with lid. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Turn the flame off when oil is separated from gravy. Garnish it with coriander and serve.
